Felicia Carty, Carty Consulting is a business development and marketing consultant to Fortune 500 and nonprofit organizations.  Felicia has a cross functional background that spans advertising, sales, marketing and operations.  Having lived in the U.S. Virgin Islands and every region of the country, Felicia gravitates towards roles that allow her to interface with a wide variety of professionals.  A digital media veteran, she enjoys staying plugged into emerging technologies, platforms, markets, trends and their impact on globalization.

Felicia is currently the International Digital Marketing and Sales Enablement Lead for Employee Health and Benefits, Marsh.  She is responsible for overseeing international digital marketing, sales enablement, analytics, content management, web site design and development for Mercer Marsh Benefits International. Previously, Felicia led Guardian Life Insurance Company’s Agency Marketing social media content strategy and organic content development, as its Interim Social Media & Agency Marketing Director.   Her needs analysis of the social media infrastructure, corporate office business units, field agencies and customer segments led to cohesive digital marketing campaigns.  Felicia aligned thought leadership proprietary content, third party curated content and field agency content marketing strategies.  Felicia led social media campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn that drove visibility, engagement and leads. 

As an AIG Corporate eBusiness Strategy Group, Relationship Manager Consultant, Felicia led day to day management of the Foreign General global web strategy, two hundred plus web site design and site development engagement.  Felicia strengthened the AIG Corporate eBusiness and AIU eBusiness partnership as she organized the work across multiple complex international projects, vetted initiatives and refined approaches that impacted the bottom line. Felicia also improved the global enterprise web site measurement and reporting parameters to yield more in-depth intelligence for key performance indicator assessments of revenue generating sites. Previously, she provided online marketing, media and web site analytics, site development, site management, business analysis and process improvement consulting to MetLife.

In 2005, as an Interactive Marketing Manager, Felicia led interactive advertising, content management and web site redesign projects for Cendant Hotel Group’s principal brands: Days Inn US, Days Inn Canada, Travelodge US, Travelodge Canada and Super 8.  She joined up the needs across Cendant to initiate holistic enterprise-wide solutions that included combined brand media and web site analytics, interactive advertising financial reconciliation, co-op sales and marketing tools, and content management project management.  Felicia stream lined the enterprise-wide campaign development and content management processes resulting in improved stakeholder relationships, organizational efficiencies and transparency.  As a catalyst for best practices, she collaborated with brand heads to refine enterprise keyword strategy and media reallocation industry approaches.

Corporate Social Responsibility Champion Adept at Developing Strategic Alliances

Felicia has been a long standing champion of corporate social responsibility programs.  She conceived, developed and chaired the New York Women in Communications 2013 women’s history month panel, “Strategies for Success and How to Leverage Diversity & Inclusion Resources”.  The panel featured the Center for Talent Innovation’s research findings on how to develop executive presence and secure high powered sponsors.  Felicia created a consortium of event partners among leading media and multicultural organizations and secured national media coverage.

Previously, Felicia conceived and developed the Junior Achievement of New York’s, “Opportunity Rocks” Summer 2006 Pilot High School Program.  The program covered financial literacy, work force readiness, career preparation, interpersonal skill development, leadership, arts and entertainment.  Felicia initiated and led strategic alliances with the Museum of Modern Art and the Credit Suisse Foundation.  Felicia’s mission to support educational community outreach programs began as a Harvard College Phillips Brooks House, Mission Hill after school program volunteer while she attended Emerson College.  Her passion to make a positive difference fuels her leadership approach, vision and resilience.

Silicon Alley Digital Media Veteran with Innovative Entrepreneurial Experience

In 2002, Felicia headed DigitalGrit’s Search Engine Marketing and Optimization department.  DigitalGrit was a web site maintenance and management company that evolved into a pioneer within the search engine marketing and optimization space.  Felicia joined while DigitalGrit was an early stage start up and developed new product offerings that included online display advertising, email marketing, integrated marketing tracking and measurement, performance analytics and small business services. She streamlined operations, expanded revenue channels, increased account billings, assessed business requirements, recommended and implemented solutions to make her department scalable. Felicia’s key accounts included Berlex Laboratories, Avaya and the Morgans Hotel Group.

Felicia launched the New York New Media Association Interactive Television Special Interest Group (NYNMA iTV SIG) at ad:tech New York in 2001. As the NYNMA iTV SIG Founder and Chair, she led one of NYNMA’s most successful SIGs and bridged the new media and television communities.  The NYNMA iTV SIG defined the evolving advertising landscape of interactive television and convergence technologies.  In 2001, NYNMA was the leading industry association for internet and related businesses and was comprised of 8,400 members from over 4,800 companies. 

In 2000, Felicia was an Account Manager at Mass Transit Interactive, an innovative interactive media planning and buying agency. She envisioned the impact of online targeting and joined the early stage startup to manage media planning, media buying, strategy, campaign (banner, search, email marketing, Geo IP targeted) management, sponsored content site integration business development, tracking, reporting and ROI analytics.  Felicia developed the agency’s first geo-IP targeted campaign and established best practices for the Hertz, Double Tree Suite Hotels, and Dgolpe accounts.


Technology Native with Creative Background

Felicia’s affinity for technology stems from being raised in a family of IBMers. 
Felicia became interested in writing, film and music while she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emerson College and was a radio announcer on Emerson’s WERS 88.9 FM.  She recently served on the International Association of Business Communicators New York Chapter Board of Governors.
